Setup Steps
Battery Settings by Phone Brand
Android phones aggressively kill background apps. You must apply these settings or calls will stop syncing after the screen turns off.
Realme High Restriction
  • Auto-start: Settings → Additional Settings → Privacy → Startup Manager → enable Call2Reply
  • Battery: Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization → All Apps → Call2Reply → No Restrictions
  • Background freeze: Settings → Battery → App Quick Freeze → disable for Call2Reply (if present)
  • Background data: Settings → Apps → Call2Reply → Data Usage → enable Background Data
  • Lock in Recents: Open Call2Reply → swipe up for recent apps → long-press the Call2Reply card → tap the lock icon
Realme UI kills background apps very aggressively. All 5 steps above are required.
Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO High Restriction
  • Auto-start: Settings → Apps → Manage Apps → Call2Reply → enable Autostart
  • Battery saver: Settings → Apps → Manage Apps → Call2Reply → Battery Saver → No restrictions
  • Background activity: Settings → Battery → App Battery Saver → Call2Reply → No restrictions
  • MIUI Optimization (MIUI only): Settings → Additional Settings → Developer Options → turn off MIUI Optimization (optional but helps)
  • Lock in Recents: Open Call2Reply → recent apps → long-press card → tap lock
On HyperOS (Xiaomi 14 series), path may be: Settings → Apps → Call2Reply → Battery → Unrestricted.
Samsung Medium Restriction
  • Battery optimization: Settings → Battery → Background Usage Limits → Sleeping Apps → remove Call2Reply if listed
  • Unrestricted: Settings → Apps → Call2Reply → Battery → Unrestricted
  • Allow background activity: Settings → Apps → Call2Reply → Battery → enable Allow background activity
  • Device Care: Settings → Battery and Device Care → Battery → More battery settings → disable Adaptive battery
Vivo / iQOO High Restriction
  • Auto-start: Settings → Battery → High Background Power Consumption → enable Call2Reply
  • Battery: Settings → Battery → App Power Management → Call2Reply → No Background Power Restrictions
  • Background popup: Settings → Battery → App Power Management → Call2Reply → Background popup: ON
  • iManager: Open iManager app → App Management → Autostart Management → enable Call2Reply
  • Lock in Recents: Open Call2Reply → recent apps → swipe down on card → tap lock
OPPO High Restriction
  • Auto-start: Settings → Battery → App Management → Autostart → enable Call2Reply
  • Battery: Settings → Battery → App Power Management → Call2Reply → Do not restrict background activity
  • ColorOS: Settings → Privacy → Privacy Permissions → Startup Manager → enable Call2Reply
  • Phone Manager: Open Phone Manager → App Pinning → add Call2Reply
  • Lock in Recents: Open Call2Reply → recent apps → long-press card → tap lock icon
OnePlus Medium Restriction
  • Auto-launch: Settings → Apps → App Management → Call2Reply → Auto-launch → enable Allow Auto-launch
  • Battery: Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization → All Apps → Call2Reply → Don't optimize
  • Deep Optimization (OxygenOS 12+): Settings → Battery → More battery settings → Sleep standby optimization → disable for Call2Reply
  • Lock in Recents: Open Call2Reply → recent apps → long-press card → lock
Motorola Low Restriction
  • Battery: Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization → All Apps → Call2Reply → Don't optimize
  • Background data: Settings → Network → Data Usage → Call2Reply → enable Background Data
Motorola (near-stock Android) is less restrictive. The two steps above are usually enough.
Nokia Low Restriction
  • Battery: Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization → All Apps → Call2Reply → Don't optimize
  • Background data: Settings → Network & Internet → Data Usage → Call2Reply → enable Background Data
Nokia runs near-stock Android. Standard battery optimization is usually sufficient.
Infinix Medium Restriction
  • Auto-start: Settings → App Management → Call2Reply → Auto-start → ON
  • Battery: Settings → Battery → Power Usage → App Management → Call2Reply → No Restrictions
  • XOS Phone Manager: Open Phone Manager app → Autostart → enable Call2Reply
Tecno Medium Restriction
  • Auto-start: Settings → App Management → Call2Reply → Autostart: ON
  • Battery: Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization → Call2Reply → Don't optimize
  • HiOS Manager: Open Phone Master app → Self-Start Manager → enable Call2Reply
Huawei / Honor High Restriction
  • Auto-launch: Settings → Apps → Apps → Call2Reply → Battery → enable Auto-launch
  • Secondary launch: Settings → Apps → Apps → Call2Reply → Battery → enable Allow other apps to launch this app
  • Battery: Settings → Apps → Apps → Call2Reply → Battery → No restrictions (Run in background)
  • Phone Manager: Open Phone Manager → App launch → find Call2Reply → switch to Manage manually → enable all three toggles
  • Lock in Recents: Open Call2Reply → recent apps → tap the lock icon on the card
Google Pixel / Stock Android Low Restriction
  • Battery: Settings → Apps → See all apps → Call2Reply → App battery usage → Unrestricted
  • Background data: Settings → Network & Internet → Data Usage → App data usage → Call2Reply → enable Background data
Stock Android is the least restrictive. Two steps above are sufficient.
